IN-N-OUT BURGER HERE WE COME! NOT

So the entire family was going to go camping up to Bryce Canyon for Father's Day Weekend. And as soon as they started planning the trip I just knew that we were going to die! Jason and I are not campers. We have only been once in our entire marriage. So as time went on I just figured that somehow it would fall through and we wouldn't have to go. As the week of Father's Day approached it was apparent that we were SOL and we were going to have to go. So as we talked about it and looked at the map Jason said there is only one way that I am going, and that is if we go to IN-N-OUT Burger on the way. So I replied, Is that on the way. And Jason said, "Yes it is only like 45 minutes out of the way." So I think We are troopers we can handle that. So fast forward to the night before and one of our friends clues us in on the fact that Bryce Canyon is freezing at night, not to mention that we don't own one sleeping bag. So Jason just doesn't want to go. So he makes me hop in the car and drive up Payson Canyon to see how cold it is so we can compare to the 34 degrees that we are going to be sleeping in. We drive up there and it is a balmy 58 degrees and he says "get out here and feel how cold this is" And I don't want to so we kind of fight and we go to bed not knowing if we are going to go. Long story short Jason decides to go because after all it'll all be worth it when he is eating his Double Double. So we get in the Tahoe at 8 am and start on our journey. About 1 hour into it I am dying all the kids are fighting Rian is out of her car seat. And I say to Jason so where is the map from St. George to Bryce Canyon? He pulls them out and I see that is is only 2 hours and 40 minutes from St. George to Bryce. Which turned out 3 1/2 hour trip to Bryce into a 6 1/2 hour trip. So needless to say we didn't quite make it there. Jason is bitter he feels like I tricked him and I sure I will never hear the end of it!!!

I used to be fast!

Ok so my mom found all these old pictures of my sister and she takes them to work and my sister brings these sweet Certificates to me of my 5th grade Hershey Track Meet. I don't know if you can all read these (if you click on the certificates you can read them) but they state 1st place in the 200 meters and 1st place in the 800 meters.

So I bring them home to show my 5th grader Kaleb who loves his Hershey track meets and he was like "So what." I don't think that I will attend his 6th grade track meet now. Can you say "SELF CENTERED?" Anyways I was telling my friends when we were walking and they said did you post them? I didn't know if they didn't believe I really placed 1st and they thought I was lying, after all I am the slowest walker in the group. Or if they were giving me a hint about not posting for a while. So here they are and to show you how old I am, check out who signed them as the sports director for Payson. Joe Worthen, old huh?

Garbage Update

So I thought I would give you a little update on our exciting garbage situation. Sortly after our 5 am discussion Jason came to his senses and decided he better call the city and get our garbage can back. But the city only works 4 days a week. They've got it rough so they have to take a 3 day weekend every week. So he calls the city the next Monday and says, "I had one of my garbage cans hauled off last week and now I am in trouble with my wife, So can I get it back?" and the city tells him that there is a shortage of Garbage Cans so they don't have one for us. So here is my yard after a wind storm this week and as I went to clean it up it didn't all fit back in the can, so below is an after picture and today after the garbage is dumped and I clean up the rest that didn't fit in the can it should be half full with a whole week until the Garbage is picked up again!!!

I think Jason is hoping that they bring us another can soon!!

Yes, I can be positive!!!

Don't fall off your chairs this post is going to be a positive one and it's even about my KIDS!!!! OK so Kaleb and Cheyenne have been feeling sooooo left out because I never post anything about them. Chey asked me why I never do posts about her, and I told her it was because Harley was doing so many bad things that I needed to remember, so I posted them so I can print it and give her a copy when her first child is 12. I guess I need to post some positive things so I actually remember that there were SOME positive things that happened. So there will be some posts on Chey in the near future, but Kaleb's Hershey Track Meet was today. So Kaleb has been looking forward to this day since last years track meet. He has been training and training for it for weeks now. Last night he got his hair bleached (you can't tell because he was already so blonde) but on the way home he said"I hope I can sleep tonight, I am sooo excited!!!" And I can totally relate, I loved the Hershey Track Meet. Kaleb is a sprinter, he signed up for the 100 meter and the 200 meter. He placed first in both races in the primary and the semi-finals and then he qualified for the finals which only 7 kids do in all the surrounding schools. Then he placed 4th in the 200 and 3rd in the 100. So we were really excited. CONGRATS TIBBY!!!

This is Rian, she didn't care much for the running but she loved the OREO'S

A few of Kaleb's BFF'S. I call them Nerds.

Kalebs Nerdy Smile.
So on a side note, I know you have all been sitting on the edge of your seats wondering about Harley. So you will all be glad to know that she has 2 wonderful Aunts one who let her babysit and earn $$$$ to get her hair fixed and another who cut it for her. So that drama is hopefully in the past. And I checked her grades and about passed out. 3 A's and 3 B's. I know it's shocking but we hope she keeps up the good work. I think we might unground her in a month or so now.

We've got a Beautician in the House!!!

So this morning I was awakened at the bright hours of 5am to Harley's alarm clock, and I didn't think a whole lot about it so I went back to sleep. I woke back up around 6:30 and caught a glimpse of Harley walking into the bathroom with the hood of her hoodie on. I thought to myself what is she doing, it isn't rainy or sunny in here. But I just went on about my business. I went downstairs to make pancakes for my kids for breakfast and I called them all down to eat, mysteriously Harley is nowhere to be found. So I tell Cheyenne to call my sister April and see if she came early to get her for school. She hadn't, so I noticed the front door was only locked on the bottom lock so I opened the door and looked out on the porch, and there she was sitting on the bench with her hoodie on still. So I asked her what she was doing and she said UUGH, which if you remember in her grade post was what she does when she knows she is going to be in trouble. So I grabbed the hood and pulled it back to see what the problem was and I see something I never expected. SHE CUT HER HAIR!!!! to her chin, all by herself. I was mortified, I asked her what she was thinking, and she replied that we wouldn't let her cut her hair so she did it. She figured that if she cut the length we would run her over to her Aunt April and have her fix it, but she was wrong. I told her not only would I not take her she would have to go to school with her home cut hair do, and that she would need to earn her own money to have it fixed and that she could not earn the money from me! So if any of you have any chores or babysitting you need done Harley is anxiously awaiting your phone calls!!!

Fuel for my Fire

Ok so last Friday at around 5 am I heard the garbage truck behind my house, and I started to panic because I realized that I hadn't taken out the garbage. And I don't know about your house but at mine if I don't do it, it doesn't get done. So I run outside and take my first can out because we have two and I turn back to get the second one and it is nowhere to be found. So I run around the back yard to look for it, maybe Jason has taken it in back to clean up the yard, I know this is a LONG SHOT seems how that has never happened in 13 years of marriage, but I thought I would look anyways. So it's not there and then I have a flashback memory of a conversation that we had earlier in the week about saving money. And Jason mentioned that we could get rid of one of our garbage cans, I tell him that is NOT an option because we use both of them every week. So I go back inside and say to him ( don't forget that it is 5 am) "Jason, where is the other garbage can??" And he says "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you I had the city come get it". So I then totally freak out. "Whatever you didn't forget to tell me." I don't know if your husbands have this but it is called selective honesty. They pick what they want to tell us and leave out what they don't want to tell us. I then told him that I was glad he made that executive decision on his own. I cannot believe that he did that, after all the crap I have had to put up with for 13 years that he has done and brought here, and parked on my back lawn, this just adds fuel to my fire. I told him don't be surprised when something that you feel strongly about or you bring here comes up missing mysterioulsy.

I've Been Tagged!

I've Been Tagged!!

Vanessa tagged me and I have to confess I didn't know what that meant, so after a sarcastic lesson from Vanessa here it is.
How long have you been together? We met and got engaged 2 weeks later and we've been married for 13 1/2 years
How old is he? 37
Who eats more? Probably him he eats more often. 1 hour after we eat he is hungry again.
Who said I love you first, "I can't remember it happened so fast and it was soooo long ago
Who is taller? Him by about 5 inches
Who sings better? Him definitely, I don't sing. In church I mouth the Hymns, and for the record I am not the only one on the back row that does that!!!
Who is smarter? Him, I interact with kids all day, it doesn't keep your mind very sharp after a while.
Who does the laundry? Me of course, one time I got bleach on his dark green Polo and he hasn't forgiven me yet, but I still do the laundry I just don't bleach anything of his!!
Who does the dishes? Me, I can count on one hand the times that Jason has done the dishes in 13 years.
Who pays the bills? ME, and I rock at it!!!
Who cooks dinner? Both of us, mostly me though. But when it comes to breakfast for Dinner, or homemade cheese fries, Jason is the man!!
Who mows the lawn? Me, I also Rock at keeping care of the lawn. Jason's philosophy is if you mow it then it'll just grow back.
Who is more stubborn? Him, he is very hard to live with sometimes, I tell him that I am a Saint!!Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me, he is on the left with Cheyenne behind him and Rian in between us.
Who kissed who first? I can't remember all I know is it was the first night we met, we were kind of Fast!!!
Who asked who out? Him
Who proposed? Him. He made up his own poem to the So I married an Axe Murderer poem, I hadn't seen it so I didn't know what he was doing. So I said, "What are you doing?"and he said," I am proposing!"
Who is more sensitive? We both are with different issuesWho has more friends? Jason is everyones friend so that would be him.
So there is a little about my MAN, I tag Heather, Betsy, and April

YES!! Poison's back!!

Hey did you guys hear the GREAT NEWS? Poison is coming in concert on July 3rd! I am trying to decide if I can handle 2 concerts in 2 days. Poison and Miley back to back, I don't know if my old body can handle all that excitement in that short of time. But I am seriously contemplating it.
What Poison means to me:
Trying to grow my Bangs out to be like Ricki or C.C.
Brings me back to 7th grade when we couldn't rat our hair high enough.
Tight pegged pants, just like Bret
Blue eyeshadow with pink on top and mascara that was every color.
Hanging out with my friends watching MTV all day after school.
Every Rose has it's thorns, explained all of my feelings everytime I broke up with my boyfriend after 2 weeks.
So since I am already going to Miley and I probably won't go, if any of you go call me after and tell me if it was everything that you imagined. I know they are all like 50 years old now and not sexy at all, but if they sing Mama' Fallen Angel or I want action it'll all be worth it!!!

Stadium of Fire, Here we come!!

Yeah you heard right, were gonna see Miley. Ri-jealous, I know your dying of envy right now but I couldn't get the 25 tickets that I wanted. So you will have to fend for yourself. But I don't know if you have all heard about how hard these tickets are to get ahold of but wouldn't you know it, I have some!!! It's kinda like the thrill of the hunt for me. Just like the after Thanksgiving sales about 9 years ago when the Furby was no where to be found and my sisters, Mom and I set out to hopefully get just one. When we all met at the end of the hunt we had 8. And there were parents all around frantically looking, and did we feel bad??? NO, you snooze you lose. So my Mom went home with all 8 and started calling all the neighbors to see if they needed one. But the only important thing was that we conquered. And Yes I did conquer the quest for Miley Cyrus Tickets TOO!!!

Cards, Cards, Cards

You are not gonna believe what I made.......Cards. This is something that is completely out of my element, I usually don't even give cards to people. When I wrap gifts I am the Mom that always cuts a square of left over wrapping paper and tapes it on the present. So this was a big step for me. Had this not been part of my calling I may have never done it, but I had a ton of fun, not to mention how good I was at it. Just look at my card, now if you held it up to one of the other peoples cards that was there they would pale in comparison to mine. I just keep telling myself that!!! But I am looking forward to the next class I may even try to cut out all my own stuff next time. This is Joann she had a ton of fun too!!!

Rian loves to play Peek A Boo

So I am getting pretty sophisticated at this blogging thing. I have learned how to put music on my blog, no thanks to Ri-Bone. And now I have learned how to down load a video. I will be honest Jason took this video of Rian like 3 weeks ago for me and I haven't uploaded it because of sheer laziness. But I was worried that if I didn't do a new post Ri-blogstealer would post one for me like he did on Heathers, so here it is. Rian loves to play Peek a Boo, sometimes we will just hear heavy breathing not realizing that she is hiding and waiting for us to acknowledge that she is hiding. But somehow we always find her.

Ri-Bone's White Trash Pet

So I started my bi-daily surfing of the blogs to see what was new when I came upon a new post on Rileys blog. After reading and watching the video I decided that I better go investigate the situation and see if I could be of any assistance to my Sister and Bro in law. After seeing the creature I decided it deserved it's own posting on my blog also. So here is a picture of the creature found in my their window well, and after much evaluation and consulting the local google images, we (Jason and I) have decided that this is probably a MUSKRAT. Not only is this creature disgusting and vile but it is HUMONGOUS. Ri-bones blog video does not give it justice as to it's size. I do have to say that I was quite shocked that the creature is still in Riley's window well and that there is no plan to remove it. Won't that start to smell??? All I know is I am glad I don't live next door and I feel sorry for the neighbors. If I hear any whisperings at church tomorrow I will have to fill everyone in on the details. Needless to say I hope Ri-Bone does not end up being a Ri-inmate. Anyways if you get curious as I did you will probably be able to stop by and look in his window well for at least the next month or so it should still be there rotting away.

Does anyone know this man???

Oh yeah, this is my husband and his wonderful invention. This is the helmet that I promised Vanessa and Elton that they could borrow. There is just one condition, you have to promise to give it back. I know that this might be hard for you but my husband will die without it this summer when he goes on his bike rides. I will be passing around sign ups for all that want to borrow it. No serious my husband rides around town with this on all summer. I was devastated the first couple of times he did it, then after I found out everyone knew it was him I decided there was nothing I could do to hide it. And now everyone knows that he is a little strange. But that is what we love so much about him!!!

OUR SWEET RIAN IS 1

Are you Stinkin kidding me????

This blog post is dedicated to Harley and PJHS. (note the color, GRIZZLY PRIDE)

So, it's Wednesday and I am waiting to pick up my oldest and sweetest daughter Harley from Junior High School and I look up on the Marquee sign and see that tomorrow is Parent Teacher Conference. And if this time is anything like last time, IT AINT GONNA BE PRETTY. So to prepare myself I decide to give Harley an opportunity to make me aware of anything I might need to know. I ask her if she has any progress reports and she replies No my teachers don't give them out. So I ask my neice Mckell, who by the way has 4 of the 6 classes with Harley if her teachers gave them out and she says yes. So I press on and she admits she has one for Math. I ask what her grade is and she replies with a UUGGHH. Which is always her reply when she knows she is gonna be in trouble. With a little more coaxing and a whole lot of THREATENING she admits that she has a "D". So I ask to see her progress report and she hands it to me and not only was it not a D, it was a big fat "F"!!!! And with my investigating skills that I inherited from my mother I question why she lied and find out that she didn't lie she had it mixed up with her English grade. Oh what a relief!! She not only has an F but a D also. Isn't parenthood wonderful? Harley is so misunderstood, and I am sure that there is a perfectly good explanation that she will share with us one day. LOVE YA HAR-BAR!!! Oh by the way Harley is now accepting applications for TUTORING, you can reach her on her cell phone. Oh yeah she doesn't get a cell phone until she goes a whole year with straight A'S. So it's going to be a while.

My Kids are KILLING ME!!!

So everyone knows how stinkin sweet my kids are right. NOT. I love them but there are days when I don't know if were all gonna make it. And by make it I mean until they move out!!!! No seriously. Kaleb dropped a pop can on his big toe last night and he hopped around all night from room to room bawling. He was sure that it was broken. And as I sent him to bed he said that my bed was the only bed he could sleep in that his toe wouldn't hurt. Yeah Right. Harley is 12 going on 17. And I only said 17 because she is like a teenage gossip magnet. Hour after hour. What does a 12 year old girl have to talk about for 5 hours a night??? We have had to limit the talking to 9:30 at night or she would talk til midnight. Cheyenne is into everything girly. Especially the girly handshakes that we all did in Elementary school. She has this one that she says at the end Boy you just got DISSED. Does she even know what dissed is???? Oh well none the less I love them and enjoy almost every minute of it.

Yeah, believe it, I'm bloggin!!!

So everyone says that this is the way to do it, it being......I don't know but I thought I would try it. I am not so sure that this will be a long time thing but I will give it a go. So I tried to think of things to blog on my first time I wanted this to be BIG, so I looked at other peoples blogs and I thought to myself do I ramble on aimlessly like Ri-Bone, also I would have to learn how to misspell about every other word. Or do I put boring things on about my kids, or do I tell lots of embarrasing things about my family. So I decided to start with the basics about my Family.

Jason and I met 14 years ago in an unspecified place that I may disclose at a later date.
We got engaged after 2 weeks and married 6 months later in the Salt Lake Temple.

2 days short of our 1 year anniversary we had our first child Harley Davis. At times she is my mortal enemy
I am definately an old fogey to her and I know nothing. She, I am sure will be many subjects on my blog.

1 1/2 years later we had first son Kaleb. He is sweet and naughty at the same time. He thinks that he can choose between 1 of 3 sports to play professionally. He thinks he is that good.

Then there is Cheyenne who was born 2 1/2 years after Kaleb, that is right 3 kids in 4 years. Cheyenne is definately a free spirit and she does what she wants. She too will be many subjects on my blog.

Last but not least our precious baby Rian. Rian is 1 year old, she weighed in at 3lbs 5 oz when she was born, you would never know it looking at her now. Rian was a twin and her brother Zeke died 4 weeks before she was born.

So there is a little glimpse into our Family, I don't know how to post pictures yet I need a class on blogging any volunteers, I am a little computer illiterate, just to warn you so you know what you are getting into.
