Best Concert EVER!

You probably all think I have dropped off the face of the earth, but I haven't. I have been stalking all of your blogs but I am so BOOB- Burned Out On Blogging. I went to Taylor Swift's concert and it was the best. And I deserved it DAMN IT!!!

We sat on the 7th row and it was awesome. I have a new found hobby. CONCERTING!! Is that even a word??? Well it is to me, and I love it. Now I am on to Kelly Clarkson and the concert of the year that you are all jealous of me.....THE JONAS BROTHERS!!!!

Month from you know where!!

So it all started with the split of our ward, not only am I NOT in alot of my friends ward anymore, My husband is in the Bishopric. Now don't get me wrong,I don't hate that he is in the bishopric for any reason other than I HAVE NOOOOO HELP during Sacrament meeting. With my SWEET Rian. It is truly a challenge to take care of a 2 year old that has hardly heard the word no EVER!!

To make matters worse I think that I have had STREP 3 times in the last month, and now my baby has it and she had to have the dreaded Penicillin shot today. That's what I get for Self Medicating myself. HUH JOANN!!!

Poor thing, no shot is worse than the penicillin shot, it is so thick, it looks like ELMERS GLUE and has the consistency of it too!

I may never get better, but if I do I will be redoing my Kitchen Cabinets and Heading to the GRANITE countertop store!!! That ought to make me feel better!!!

BEES---or Flies

Today I was trying to enjoy a nice long shower, because Kaleb played Hookie and stayed home from school to help me with Rian. And about 5 minutes into my shower Kaleb comes banging on the door. In the background I can hear Rian screaming BLOODY MURDER! So I turn off the shower and ask him what the matter was, and he tells me that Rian thinks she is going to get hurt, from the BEE in the house.





He at this point is laughing and so I get out to see what the matter is. So I go to console her and she is freaking out, screaming that the bee is going to hurt her. And as the FLY or BEE as she calls it flies near her she starts screaming LOUDER and LOUDER. After I got my composure from Laughing I tried to explain to her that it was not a bee, but a fly, and that it wouldn't hurt her. She finally calmed down.

I guess she has been watching a little too much of POOH!

RECESSIONS SUCK!

BLAAHHH!!! That is how I feel about life right now.

You can 't turn on the TV without hearing about how many jobs are being lost. So many people I know have lost their jobs lately. And I feel so bad for them and their families. I feel really fortunate that we haven't, and I am hoping that things start to look up soon for those who have.


I am in a serious RUT with Bloggin. I have 25 other things to do each day and blogging has fell all the way to the bottom of my priorities!! Have you ever sat down to your computer feeling guilty for not doing a post earlier? I sit down and think I have NOTHING to blog about and then I think back as life has passed me by the last couple of weeks and realize I have about 100 things that I SHOULD have posted about. But oh well, life goes on.

One good thing coming up is EASTER!! YEA! I love Easter, it is a time that I can reflect on what really matters and why we are here on this earth. It makes me feel so much better to know that all we are going through in this world is for a purpose, and that no matter how bad things get there is always another day to pick up the pieces and start over tomorrow!!

So if you are struggling in life, lost your job, or someone you are close to is sick, this one is for you!!!

TAYLOR SWIFT!!

I came and conquered once again, YES you heard right I got Taylor Swift Tickets!!! I haven't been to a concert in like 10 years or more until I hit the MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice concert and that got me going and now I am on a roll. I will complete 5 concerts in about 6 months time, and that is more than I have gone to in my whole 29 years combined!!! So I am way STOKED!!

It's that time of year again!!

Spring is in the air, and that means it is BASEBALL and SOFTBALL time. We are starting to think about holding TRYOUTS for our Old Ladies team this year. We are going to have to start thinking about spring camp soon also. So if you want to be on the team, let me know and I will give you the 411 on the dates. I am not going to be able to take everyone, as I am sure this post will yield a HIGH VOLUME of applicants, but I will do what I can!!!

JO BROS!

Cheyenne came running through the house last week, screaming that the JO BROS were coming to town, and that she HAD to go to their concert. So I guess we are going, it should prove to be an interesting night, and the concert quest goes on.

We are now in search of TAYLOR SWIFT concert tickets, she is said to sell out in 2 minutes, so wish us luck!!!! WERE GONNA NEED IT!!!

IN LOVING MEMORY OF JAKE!!

3 years ago today my little brother lost his life in a battle with Addiction. I miss him more than words can say! As time has gone by the pain doesn't get any less, I know in my heart I will see him again and I will have a chance to say everything that I didn't get to say to him while he was alive on this earth. I love you and miss you Jake!!

We are PROFESSIONAL concert goers now!! When is the next one????

MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice were in town yesterday, I don't know if you all heard that they would be. But we stopped in to say hello to them and they were happy to see us!!! As I was PRIMPING to get ready, I decided that it was time to go all the way back to the 80's. And by that I meant pulling out all of the stops and putting some earrings in my second holes, which has not been done for a decade or two, depending on how old you believe that I am.

After alot of pain and a little swearing I got them in. And they looked great, getting one of them out was a totally different story!!!! Can you say INFECTION???

Vanessa's 80's glasses were very hip and Judy had these humongous pink hoop earrings on but she couldn't turn her head so she took a break from them!!!

So we all squished in the Tahoe and headed out for an adventure of a life time!! Judy was thrilled to be with us, I just don't think that she expected to have her life flash before her eyes as Vanessa threatened to kill some "PUNK A" teenagers on the way to eat!! It was very interesting and hilarious. Don't mess with Vanessa!!!
We hit PF CHANGS before the concert and it was delicious!!

Here is Amanda, Vanessa and Jodi having some down time during an intermission. I don't know about all of you but my arms and my legs are so sore today. I must be way out of shape if I can't hack doing the 2 legit and all the other hand moves to the songs.

Then we headed on to the concert where we saw some pretty, should we say, COLORFUL people. These teenagers made the 80's look like some sort of circus. I never dressed as wild as most of them, but it was funny to see them, and make fun of them!! Most all of them were WAY younger than us. The college students and younger crowd were all dumb enough to get GA tickets while us more SEASONED concert goers picked Seats!!! We are no DUMMIES!!!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!!

Some of us just celebrate our birthdays for a day and some don't celebrate them at all, but I celebrate mine for at LEAST a week. Some years I have tried to pull of a whole month, but I am really busy this year so 5 days is going to have to do!! I have BIG plans for the week, starting off with hunting for my 80's outfit for the concert, and I think I will buy myself a little extra stuff too!!

I will try my best to do a complete documentary of our night out so all of you who are making fun of us can see what fun you missed out on!!!

Kaleb is 12!!

Kaleb turned 12 on February 16th, and he is such a character. When I was trying to decide which pictures to put on the post I thought of this past Christmas when my family went up to Temple Square and we were waiting for the lights to come on and everyone wanted pictures of their families. So everytime I took a picture of someone Kaleb's head would pop up in the picture.

Then I thought I would take a picture of my Dad, and there he is again!!

Some days it is really hard to get mad at him because we are so close, but one thing is true about Kaleb, there is never a dull moment!!

Valentines Party!

Ever since I could remember my Mom has done a wonderful dinner for the kids on Valentines Day. It was always about us and not them as a kid. Now that we are all grown and married we have been replaced for this tradition by the GRANDKIDS!!! Now it is all about them. And just like me, my kids wouldn't miss this PARTY or any of my Moms Parties for ANYTHING!!!

Rian loved seeing her cousins and she especially loved the present that Grandma gave her. My mom spoils her grandkids ROTTEN!!

Chey got a perm today and we didn't get to style it, but notice the beautiful football tattoo that she put on her forehead! LOVE IT!!! She knows just how to dress for the Party!!

Addi found this Beautiful Ensemble for the Party. I don't know if she noticed but she was a LITTLE OVERDRESSED for the occasion!!!



And the night would not have been complete without showing all of us OLD bloggers what is "IN STYLE". Yes Har Bar being the fashion DIVA that she (thinks) she is showed us what the newest in Eye make up is!! I don't care if that is in style, to me it looks like she is bleeding from all DUCTS of her EYES!!!

5th ROW BABY!!!!

Yep I got Em'!!

I got the tickets to see HAMMER and Vanilla. It is official they will be in the mail tomorrow. I was so stressed out all morning wanting to make sure that I got the best tickets possible to the concert. When I logged on to purchase them the computer would only let me buy 8 at a time, which meant that we would not all be sitting together, so I called in and told the lady that I needed 14 of her best seated tickets and that it was for my Birthday. So she got us 5th ROW!! I was so excited. The only thing I am worried about is that I told all of my friends that it probably started at 7pm and that we should be home by 10, but that isn't going to happen. You see the concert doesn't even start until 9!! Hammer has to be like 50 now, how can he do that? For the last 2 months I am lucky to be awake after 8.

I might have to drink a ROCK STAR...

so I will be able to stay awake through the whole concert. Because we probably will be getting home around

AM that is!!!

Get ready for a wild night because NO MEN ALLOWED. This should prove to be my most memorable birthday party ever!!!

Most of all I am hoping that ROB (Vanilla) will be wearing something like this:And second of all I am hoping that Hammer even though he is probably a Grandpa now can still move like THIS.

So Ladies get on EBAY and start looking for your Hammer pants because I am sure that none of our old ones will still fit us!

And PLEASE HAMMER DON'T HURT US. Because we will be so close to you that you will probably be able to touch us.

OFF GROUNDED!!!

Grounding your kids can be very nice, for instance, if your kids are grounded on the weekend then you have a ready made baby sitter for the weekends!! But for once in 2 years all of my kids are off restriction, or grounding, all at the same time. It seems as though Har Bar has been grounded for 2 years straight! Well I guess you might say she is still grounded since she lost her Social Studies book last term and I got a bill for $65.00 for it. So she is trying to earn that money but I haven't kept her under lock and key while she is earning it. Here are some of the ways that she has been earning the money:

Baby Sitting and she kinda sucks at it, at least when she is tending her own siblings. She vacuums out my car. One time she wanted money to go to the movies and I told her to vacuum out the car and she did a pretty good job. So my car needed it and so I told her to do it again and she replied, "Just because I am good at it doesn't mean I have to do it everytime." So she vacuumed out the bug and did a terrible job, I don't know if she was trying to do that so I wouldn't ask her to do it again or if she is BLIND!!!

Any how if you have any toilets that need to be scrubbed or walks that need to be shoveled call Har Bar and she will come right over! $65.00 is gonna take her a year at the rate she is going at our house, because I pay on how good a job she does!!

Not to go to MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice for my Birthday!!! The Girls and I always do something fun to celebrate our Birthday's and we've done everything from Good Things Utah to Witches Night Out and Festival of the Trees. JoAnn said that we have to do something Fun for mine too. At first we were going to go to the Price is Right then instead maybe a Night in Park City and on to shopping. Nothing was falling into place, nothing felt right and now I know why. With some divine intervention I turned on the radio when I went to pick up my kids from school and I am listening to my favorite radio station Movin 100.7 and I hear it........


MC HAMMER and VANILLA ICE are coming in Concert and it is a day after my 29th Birthday so I call Vanessa and I am freakin out about because this is perfect, this is what we are going to do. The tickets go on sale soon and it will soon be official. This is going to be HUGE!!! DON"T BE HATIN BECAUSE YOUR JEALOUS!!!! PLAYA!!!

I'M OUTTA HERE, WORD TO YOUR MOTHA!!

What is all the HOOPLA about?

This may seem UNPATRIOTIC, but I don't understand why the whole world thinks that one man is going to change the world. Yesterday I was watching the inauguration of President Obama and I was amazed at the amount of people that showed up. Mainly because there was so much hype about it and I don't remember any of this happening for any of the Presidents that have been in office while I have been alive. I can't figure out why the world thinks that he is going to be able to fix all the problems in the world. There was so much OPTIMISM yesterday and I so want to get into that spirit. But most of my thinking is that our problems are WAY BIGGER than Mr. Obama is going to be able to fix. So hopefully those 2 million people know something I don't know and all the problems with the economy will just disappear!!!

GROUNDED!

So it was Parent Teacher or SEP conferences this week and everytime I pick up my kids from school on this day I say " Is there anything you want to tell me before we go see your teacher?" and they usually say no. This year Kaleb's friend Ivan got in my car and said, "Kaleb is going to be in so much trouble today." So I again asked Kaleb and he told me he got in trouble for talking. So fast forward an hour as we are leaving his SEP's......KALEB IS SOOOO GROUNDED!!!

So for undisclosed reasons he got grounded and lets just say it wasn't only because he was talking to much. So we get home and Jason and I took every possession of his away. Every Christmas present, his TV, his Nintendo DS, ETC. All day Friday he sits around and does NOTHING. And I asked him at the end of the day how being grounded was. Having anything and everything that he loves taken away from him. And he answers by saying, "You didn't take one thing that I love away from me." And I am thinking, What is it so I can take it away. And he answers with, "You, snuggling with you."





How can I still ground him with that answer you ask??? EASY, I just think back on that SEP conference!!!! Hopefully we NEVER have another Conference like this again!!

Dear Toothfairy. I know you aren't Real BUT......

So about 3 years ago Cheylula came home from school with a few TOUGH questions for me. She wanted to know what her friends big secret was about the Tooth Fairy. After about 5 days of me avoiding the question I let her in on it. And then she wanted to know about the Easter Bunny, Santa, etc. So I said, "Do you really want to know?" And of couse she did, so I enlightened her.

It has been a while since Chey lost a tooth because they are SNAGGLE TOOTH for about a year before they simply fall out of her mouth because she won't pull them out. WIMP, they don't even bleed when the fall out!!

So last night she finally had one fall out that we have been waiting for for about 6 months and she was really excited because it didn't hurt and she was gonna get a visit from the Tooth Fairy.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I told her the Tooth Fairy doesn't come to her anymore. But when I woke up this morning this is what I found.....

FAKING IT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE CHEYENNE!!! And what is up with the Spelling??? She definitely doesn't take after me in that department!!

New Hair Product- You should try it!!

Rian or Rainy as we call her is following in her Big Sister Har Bar's footsteps and venturing into the Beauty Business. But she is not copying other stylists. NO... she is blazing her own trails.Rian LOVES lotion. If you want to put some on her plan on her just taking a bath in it!
And she is proud of how beautiful she is when she is all done!
If she could she would put lotion on all day long!Who knows maybe I will get lucky and she will be a Plastic Surgeon or an Esthetician!!!
